Bradford ("Buck") Gearinger is one of the two original members of Scanlon & Gearinger Company, L.P.A. He has represented injured people in personal injury, product liability, and medical malpractice litigation since 1979 when he joined Tim Scanlon and became a co-founding shareholder of Scanlon & Gearinger.
Graduating from the University of the South in 1962 with a degree in political science, he earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1965. After law school, Buck served in the U.S. Marine Corps (Major USMCR 1965-1968). Buck then practiced law with the Akron law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle and Burroughs, before joining Tim Scanlon to found Scanlon & Gearinger.
Buck has served as president of the Akron Bar Association (1988-1989) and is a member of various professional organizations. He is widely respected within the legal community for his service as a special prosecutor in the cases of State of Ohio v. James Barbuto and State of Ohio v. Roth. section of our website. Buck is also known for his work on the precedent setting case of Schultz v. Barberton Glass Co. Over the years, Buck has assisted countless litigants to resolve disputes by serving as a mediator and arbitrator.

In 1998, he was the recipient of the Akron Bar Association’s
Professionalism Award for demonstrated integrity and humanitarian
concerns.
Buck enjoys traveling. He and his wife, Paula, have visited
most of the minor league baseball stadiums in the country.
Buck's son, Brian, practices law in San Francisco. Buck and Paula live in Akron and have three grandchildren.
