Patrick J. Hart has been a shareholder with The Scanlon Group Co., LPA since 1989. He represents plaintiffs in personal injury, product liability, insurance, and medical malpractice cases.
Pat graduated from the University of Akron in 1972 and earned his J.D. from its School of Law in 1975. Pat served as a prosecutor for the city of Akron for two years before becoming the assistant law director. He left the service of the City for the private practice of law in 1980. Pat ultimately joined The Scanlon Group in 1988.
Pat has served as an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at the University of Akron School of Law and has taught law classes at Malone College. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Akron Bar Association. He has served as president of the Summit County Trial Lawyers Association(1996-1997) and on its Board of Trustees.
For 30 years, Pat has handled serious and complex civil litigation. Some of his cases may be found in the "News" section of our Web site. He has received the highest review rating available through the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review rating system.
Pat has been active as a youth coach and has served on the Board of Trustees for the West Akron Baseball League. He also served for many years on the Board of Trustees for the Catholic Social Services of Summit County. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for CYO and Community Services. He is currently a member of the Executive Board at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. He and his wife, Linda, have two grown children and reside in the Akron area.
